Stanley Scholarship Fund, Inc. Criteria
Ray Rude Scholarship
- $2000 per application
Available to any Stanley High School Senior who plans to attend college. Must
be a first-year student. Must complete one semester of college to receive the
scholarship.
Must complete Page 2 of the SSFI application.
Blue Jay Scholarship
- $16,500 Split
Available to any Stanley High School Senior who plans to attend college. Must
be a first-year student.
I.C. & Margaret Reynolds Scholarship
- $20,000 Split 5 ways
Available to any SHS graduating senior who as an ACT score between 21-29.
Awarded after the first semester. Recipients must maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA
throughout college to keep the scholarship. Must attend college in ND,
Moorhead, MN, or East Grand Forks, MN.
Stalnecker Memorial Scholarship
- $1,000 Split
SHS senior with at least a 3.0 GPA. Must have taken 4 credits of English, 3
credits each of Social Science, Natural Science, and Math, 1 credit of Foreign
Language and 1 Computer/Business Class. Will be awarded after 1 year of
college.
Claudia Gray Scholarship
- $1000
SHS senior who is majoring in education.
Demonstrates financial need.
Darlene Cvancara
- $24,000 Split
SHS senior who has received no other scholarship to date
Demonstrates financial need
SSEF
- $3500 Split
SHS senior who has received no other scholarship to date

Judson and Shirley Boyd Scholarship
- $4500 Split
SHS Senior that will be attending a ND college, university, or trade school. No
GPA requirement. School and community involvement and has maintained
full/part time summer employment.
Complete online SSFI Scholarship Application along with a one-page double-
spaced essay describing your leadership and character skills. Also describe your
school and community activities you were involved in throughout high school.
1st Presbyterian Church Memorial Scholarship
- $2,500 Split
Scholarship available to all SHS seniors attending 2- or 4-year college.
Preference will be given to students attending University of Jamestown. Awarded
after completion of the 1 st successful semester of college.
Additional required essays:
In one page or less, describe your aspirations and life goals and how you intend
to achieve them.
In 1 to 2 pages, list the key individual or individuals in your life and describe how
they have influenced you to achieve your goals and dreams.
Lawerence Elefson Memorial Scholarship
- $5000 split
Must complete an essay specifically addressing the following criteria:
SHS Senior with a GPA of 2.5 – 4.0
Attending a ND College or University
Attendance in grades 9-12
Higher scholastic courses successfully completed in high school
School and community involvement in activities and organizations
Total number of credits completed in high school
Stanley Farmers Elevator Company Scholarship
– One @ $250
Sons and daughters of farm and ranch families who are to graduate from SHS.
Must attend a 4 year college, university or a vocational school. Combined
academic, extra curricula activities, community involvement and demonstration of
leadership and character. Awarded after completion of the 1 st semester of
college.
Please attach a 1 page typed essay describing your leadership and character
skills. Also describe your school and community activities you were involved in
throughout high school.
